Class was good; However, it would have been much better if I did not have a cold. I learned that I need a lot more help on my grammar. I know some grammar rules but I do not understand the reason why I would do them. I think the manners video was a good thing to watch, because sometimes you forget that normal things you do may offend others. I also like the chapter that talked about your professional image, and I plan to use that to my benefit.

Tonight's class was very informative regarding punctuation. I have always second guessed certain types of punctuation, and I am looking forward to gaining confidence in my writing abilities. The video on etiquette made me laugh and cleared up some confusion on how to act during situations.

9/3/2013  It was a great evening, especially in the end when I was told by one of my students that I use "uhm" repeatedly in my lectures.  This is a behavior that I was unaware of, and I will certainly work diligently to avoid using "uhm" when speaking to an audience in the future - now that I have been made aware of this behavior.  I welcome this "constructive" criticism as a means to grow and become a better speaker.
